Our Cause

We give back to our community in several ways. we will be donating 10% of our profits from individual sale of coffee to a charity. Currently, we are donating to Doernbecher’s Children’s Hospital in Portland, Ore. One of our children was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma and received excellent care at Doernbecher’s. We want to give back.

Our Family

The Pacific Northwest is known for its mild winters and dry summers. Here we love a slow Sunday morning as we share a berry tart, made from the berries we picked from the blackberry bramble behind the house. The cool, cloudy days of the fall call for hot drinks.

Here at Bark and Beans, we love our children, our dogs, and our coffee. We are strong believers in the therapeutic power of animals in classrooms, therapist offices, and hospitals. Multiple members of our family have been touched by cancer.

In addition to sharing coffee, we believe in giving back to our community. We are donating 10% of our profits to non-profits and charities. Go to our Giving Back page to learn which charity or charities we are currently supporting.

Bark and Beans is based out of Vancouver, Wash and is founded by Doug and Marcé. Doug grew up in Portland on a hazelnut orchard and now helps workers who are recovering from on-the-job injuries. Marcé grew up outside of Cincinnati and is a former school teacher.
